Graduands in the main auditorium where the ceremony took place
Over 3, 200 students who completed at the National University of Rwanda (NUR) are set to graduate from the Huye based university in a series of ceremonies that kicked off on Tuesday.
The students graduating from different disciplines are graduating at the faculty level and each faculty has its own day.
First was the group of about 970 students from the Faculties of Law and of Arts, Media and Social Sciences. They graduated with diplomas, Bachelor’s as well as Master’s Degrees.
Minister of Education and Chancellor of NUR Dr. Vincent Biruta, officiated the October 2012 Graduation ceremonies on 23rd October 2012.
The Rector of NUR, Prof. Silas Lwakabamba while addressing the congregation stated that NUR has made much effort to increase the number of students at higher learning education level.
He promised to continue improving quality and number of students as NUR is availing new laboratories, electronic services and assistance to lecturers in training at postgraduate level.
Biruta congratulated graduands who used their efforts to accomplish their studies and NUR which made it possible.
He challenged students to study to the limit of their ability and knowledge in order to be able to contribute to the development of the country.
