A delegation of 28 university students offering business administration from the United States of American conducted a 4 day study tour to Rwanda.
The delegation was composed of 28 students and their lecturers from Wharton University based in Pennsylvania.
Rwanda development board Chief Operating Officer/COO), Akamanzi Claire reiterated that these students have come to learn from Rwanda’s experience in the field of business and the way Rwanda managed to develop its self following the tragedy of the 1994 genocide committed against the Tutsi.
These students from Wharton University held open discussions with RDB members who friefed them on various strategies that Rwanda applies to attract investors. They also had interactions with some entrepreneurs in a bid to seek knowledge from both parties.
Marla Bleavins one of the delegation said that this has been her first tour to Africa. She said that this study tour to Rwanda will prove her with skills to apply in her future. “We have learnt a lot from Rwanda development board, we even believe that lessons learnt here will help us in our studies, Rwanda is developing very fast I can’t believe this”
These students are here in Rwanda for a 4 days study tour where they will visit different institutions, local authorities and different universities before they head back to the USA.
